I have had the pleasure of working with PAMT for eight months and counting and have been in the ServiceNow space for about two years. What I find most engaging about working with this team is everyone’s commitment to both internal and external stakeholders.
PAMT’s dedication to our clients and partners is paramount. We consistently receive unsolicited positive feedback about our team’s attention to clients' needs, responsiveness, and in-depth knowledge of both their industries and ServiceNow products. Partners frequently commend our communication and approachability. We truly value our relationships with our partners; we could not succeed without you!
I was welcomed to the sales team with the task of driving awareness and expanding the territory out west. The ServiceNow landscape in Western Canada presents significant opportunities and unique market dynamics across key industries. Our team excels in multiple sectors, including Education, Government, Utilities, Power, Lottery and Gaming, and Financial Services. Some recent projects include Service Mapping, Certificate Management, SAM, Custom API, and Roadmapping, all of which demonstrate our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions tailored to our clients' specific needs.
Here is an overview of the current landscape:
Government Western Canada has a strong public sector presence, with provincial and municipal governments prioritizing digital transformation to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. ServiceNow plays a key role in this space by enabling government agencies to streamline processes, enhance citizen services, and manage IT and HR operations more effectively.
British Columbia (BC): BC has been a leader in e-government initiatives, emphasizing the use of cloud platforms to deliver modern services. ServiceNow’s solutions align well with these initiatives, particularly in ITSM, HR service delivery, and citizen engagement platforms.
Alberta: The Alberta government has increasingly focused on cost optimization and operational efficiency, particularly in response to economic challenges from fluctuating oil prices. ServiceNow is often leveraged to modernize legacy systems, especially in IT, finance, and public services.
Saskatchewan and Manitoba: These provinces are following the broader national trend toward public sector digitalization, with growing interest in process automation and enterprise service management solutions to optimize citizen services and internal operations.
Education Universities and colleges in Western Canada are modernizing their IT infrastructures to support hybrid learning environments, improve student experiences, and streamline administrative processes.
BC: Institutions like the University of British Columbia, which leads in research and digital innovation, have strong demand for IT service management (ITSM) platforms like ServiceNow. The focus is on enhancing student services, managing IT infrastructure, and improving operational efficiency.
Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan: Major educational institutions are increasingly adopting ServiceNow to manage complex IT environments, support faculty, and automate administrative workflows, with a focus on cost containment and operational efficiency.
Banking and Financial Services Western Canada’s banking sector, though smaller than in the eastern provinces, consists of key players undergoing digital transformation to stay competitive. ServiceNow helps financial institutions modernize legacy systems, improve customer service, and strengthen compliance frameworks.
Alberta and BC: Banks are focused on improving customer experiences and streamlining operations through automation and AI, where ServiceNow’s Customer Service Management (CSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions provide significant value.
Manitoba and Saskatchewan: Credit unions and regional banks are adopting ServiceNow to better manage IT systems and compliance requirements, particularly in response to regulatory changes.
Energy and Utilities Alberta and BC have large energy and utility sectors, which rely heavily on ServiceNow to improve operational efficiency, manage IT and field services, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Alberta: As a hub for oil and gas, Alberta’s companies are leveraging ServiceNow for digital transformation initiatives, particularly in ITSM and enterprise asset management. The energy sector is also utilizing the platform for risk management and regulatory compliance.
BC: With a focus on renewable energy and sustainability, companies in BC are adopting ServiceNow for energy management projects, regulatory reporting, and process automation.
Technology and Telecommunications The tech sector in Western Canada is growing, especially in cities like Vancouver and Calgary. ServiceNow is increasingly being adopted by tech companies for IT service management, DevOps integration, and streamlined product and service delivery.
BC: Vancouver has become a tech hub with a growing number of startups and established firms. These companies use ServiceNow to optimize IT operations, manage customer service platforms, and automate key processes.
Alberta and Saskatchewan: Both provinces are experiencing growth in tech and telecom sectors, with companies adopting ServiceNow to manage IT infrastructure and improve service delivery to customers.
